Origin
Western Isles of Scotland
Class
Primitive breed, short tailed. Horned, 2 or 4 in both male and female. 2 horned sheep are most commonly seen.
Colour
Black fleece, face and legs.
Parentage
Likely to be descended from sheep imported by the Vikings. The Hebridean is an ancient breed that has partly evolved through natural selection.

A black wool with a soft/harsh handle
